Hey all! I’m sorry about the sporadic posts lately. The version of photoshop that I had was consistently crashing my computer so I was waiting for my copy of CS5 to arrive in the mail box. Yesterday was that day. So, now I can get back to comic makin’! I hope everyone is enjoying the Captain Practical storyline. It’s taking even longer to draw these strips than I had anticipated. I need better drawing tools. What I wouldn’t give for a friggin’ Cintiq drawing pad. Man oh man, that would be sweet. Anyhoo, I’m stuck with pen and paper for now. Stick with me true believers! And I promise to keep bringin’ the funny.
Until next time…

Hey all! Well, after viewing the shenanigans of Comic Con from my computer screen I’ve been bitten by the superhero bug. No, not a radioactive spider. The superhero creating bug. I’ve been itchin’ to do a storyline with a character I created called Captain Practical. I’ve put up a little teaser for your viewing pleasure in true Hollywood movie fashion as I have yet to write the story or draw a single frame.
I anticipate that this venture will require a little more time and effort than my usual inane storytelling. So, please forgive me if I don’t keep up the five day a week schedule that I’ve miraculously maintained over the last couple of months. I think it will be worth it. Then after this storyline I’ll jump right back into the saddle again. Hopefully.
So, check back in next week for the adventures of Captain Practical!

I am taking another day off today from the comic. I’m coming down from Comic-Con Jealousy Syndrome or CCJS. I need a day or two of reading comics and watching movies to fully recover. Check back tomorrow for more of the Beachin’ Summer storyline!
Until tomorrow…

Well, as those who know me are aware, I have borderline OCD. And when something gets in my head then I have to do something about it. I got super jazzed about turning the comic into a cartoon and spent about a month writing and figuring it all out before it stalled. I also realized that the time isn’t right. I need to explore the comic more as I realized that I LOVE MAKING THIS COMIC! So, I should focus on what I love doing and let it evolve into whatever it evolves into. I won’t force anything and just enjoy the process. That being said, welcome back! I hope you like the next chapter in the Student Crossing Legacy and I look forward to jumping back into the saddle again!
Until next time
