299 More Than I Thought I’d Do

December 22nd, 2010

Hey, all. Well, I guess this requires some sort of celebration. Student Crossing has hit 300 comics today! I am a quitter. If there’s one thing I’m good at doing it’s quittin’ stuff. So, the fact that I have been able to maintain (albeit infrequently) this little hobby of mine for these past five years or so, means I must actually like doing it. Creating this comic over the years has been one of the true joys I’ve ever had creatively. To be able to create, write and draw my own comic has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid.

I would like to thank the few remaining stragglers who have somehow found the time to still visit the site without a guarantee that anything would even be updated. And to those who have given up and aren’t reading this right now…good for you. I don’t blame anyone for not sticking with me and my sporadic post schedule. I wish I had more to say at this point. That I was updating the site to include new features or that I was working harder to bring more people to my site or even printing a book of some of the comics to sell. But, alas, it is not to be. I have less readers now than when I started five years ago. And I know it’s because I lack the business skills to sell my site as something people need to visit everyday.

But, maybe this is one of those hidden gems on the internet that you need to find that no one else knows about. Or maybe it’s just junk that deserves to remain in obscurity only to be stumbled upon when someone’s trying to buy school supplies. You be the judge. I’ll just keep doing what I’ve been doing and maybe more people will catch on. Maybe.

Until next time…
Spread the Anxiety!
